Now, for those of you who don't know (Where have you been all this time?!) Jump Superstars as an immensly fun Super Smash Bros Melee style game for the DS. Only with more characters and more hidden extras.
Now, who should make an appearance in this game as a playable character but the Yami himself. If you didn't know that though, I'll presume you're new to the Yami Yugi fandom.
This game is only for sale in Japan. And it will NOT be released in USA due to copyright problems. As usual. If you're like me, you'll save up the money and purchase it online.
The first press edition also came with a free booklet, which had some fantastic artwork in it. I was lucky enough to book in time for the booklet, so I'll scan that soon.
If you're looking to purchase this game, I recommend NCSX in New York. Or eBay.
That's enough now. By now, you should be looking at this guide if you own the game anyway. So......


Before we start, let's look at where to find Yami's Komas.

Let's go to Desert of Wandering, mission 1-4, shall we?

Yami Yugi's level is.... Well, exactly what you'd expect from our Pharaoh. The distinctive Puzzles floating around, the Egyptian background, and the lovely pitfalls.
Quite a fun level really, one of my faves.



To get his help block Koma, Beat all of your opponents. Easy. Don't be surprised if Yami beats you the first time. After all, Yami fans will probably try and go easy on him the first time. To get his 4 Block Koma, simply throw your opponents out of the ring. All of 'em. Either by the sides or down the pitfall.

Heh. Time for fun - Ring out your opponents 3 times EACH. Same as last time almost. Yes, you can get both of these at the same time. You'll be awarded with the adorable 5 Block Koma.




Unfortunately I don't have images of his Help, 2, 3 or 6 Block Koma. Bear with me.
In order to get them, we're gonna have to take a trip to mission 3-2.
Beat all opponents. Again, easy. That's for 2 Block. For 3 Block, KO Player 2 by Ring Out at least twice. It may seem hard, but once you're in a good position, easy. And for the ultimate 6 Block, Ring out EVERY member of you opponent's team at least 3 times each.


Now you have Yami on your side, let's look at his attacks.
Up + Y = Dice Monster
Up + B = Tamagotchi Monster (As seen in first series)
Y = Black Magician Girl (Hold to power up)
B = Dices
Down + B/Y = Catapult Turtle (Fires Cursed Dragon)
Left/Right + B = Celtic Guardian
Left/Right + Y = Cursed Dragon
Left/Right Run + Tap + Y = Gaia the Fierce Knight



X MOVES:

1 Block Help Koma: Stealth
2 Block Support Koma: Swords of Revealing Light
3 Block Support Koma: Mind Crush
4 Block Battle Koma: Black Magician, + Up = Black Magician & Black Magician Girl
5 Block Battle Koma: Exodia the Forbidden One, + Up = Ra
6 Block Battle Koma: Obelisk, + Up = Osiris


Yami Yugi's Tag Team member is Bo-Bobo. Pair them up together via the F-E-V sequence, and Bo-Bobo will do a stance, while Yami pops out of his afro and call Osiris to do MAJOR damage. BEWARE: It takes a LONG time.


I can't give a very good battle strategy. Because mine's top secret. All I'll say is that my other fighters are Naruto & Yusuke.

With Yami, he requires a LOT of time. Not just a few seconds either for some moves. If you can get around this (Which game experts should be able to) then he is, in actual fact one of the most powerful characters in the game.
